An International Coordination Committee comprising foreign professionals will coordinate the renovations of pagodas in Bagan that were damaged in last year’s earthquake.
Speaking at the anniversary of the earthquake forum held in Bagan Museum on August 27, Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko said a pool of experts, both local and foreign, will be involved in the renovation.
“We will organise the International Coordination Committee to protect and maintain the quake-damaged pagodas. Local and foreign professionals from all over the world will contribute,” he said.
