Leeds Doctoral Scholarships
The University of Leeds is accepting applications for our Doctoral Scholarships. There are a number of fully funded places for 2018 entry, available across all disciplines. You can apply for the scholarship online
Eligibility: To be eligible you must:
• be a UK/EU or International fee paying applicant
• have achieved at least a First Class (1) Honours degree or equivalent* at undergraduate level
• meet the English language requirements of your programme of study if English is not your first language (UK/EU applicants – prior to or at registration; international applicants – by the relevant scholarship deadline)
• not have already been awarded or be currently studying for a doctoral degree
• not already be in receipt of a doctoral scholarship
• have applied for a research degree and be in receipt of a student ID number
Deadline: For Faculty of AHC – 09 March 2018
Award: Successful applicants will receive payment to cover their University tuition fees up to three years, along with a maintenance grant matching the Research Council UK rate (£14,553 for 2017/18).
Arts, Humanities and Cultures Interdisciplinary Research Scholarships
Two Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures Interdisciplinary Research Scholarships will be available for UK/EU/International students for doctoral study for take-up in October 2018.
Eligibility: Applicants MUST have submitted a research degree study application form and be in receipt of a Student ID Number and an offer of PhD study prior to the submission of a Scholarship application. Applicants MUST have submitted an application for a Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures Interdisciplinary Research Scholarships to their Lead School. Applicants MUST have a named Supervisor in both their Lead and Partner Schools. Applicants must hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the School’s English Language requirements (prior to or at registration).
Deadline: Friday 09 March 2018
Value of Award: The award will cover academic fees at the University of Leeds standard UK rate and a maintenance grant (£14,553 in Session 2017/18) for full-time study, part-time will be pro-rata. There are no additional allowances for travel or research costs.

Royal Thai Embassy/University of Leeds – Thai Studies Scholarships 2018/19
We are very pleased to advertise a scholarship of £15,000 for postgraduate MA by Research studies commencing October 2018.
The scholarships continue the support for Thai Studies at the University of Leeds given by Royal Thai Embassy in London since the introduction of Thai Studies in 2004. The Embassy will offer a scholarship for home/EU or international postgraduate students to support their postgraduate studies in the field of Thai Studies at the University of Leeds and to undertake fieldwork research in Thailand for up to 6 months, as part of an MA by Research degree. The Scholarship will provide fees at the home/EU rate and monthly maintenance to include expenses incurred during the fieldwork period in Thailand. The Scholarship is open to full-time (12 months) or part-time (24 months) candidates. Part-time candidates will be paid pro rata. Applicants should first apply for a place to study and then apply for the scholarship. The closing date for applications is Friday 29th June 2018.
