More than 6,000 archaeological and cultural heritage sites have been registered across the Kingdom, among other achievements, according to the Culture and Fine Arts Ministry.
Voeun Vuthy, director of the ministry’s archaeology and prehistory department, yesterday at a press conference said as of late last year, the ministry had registered 6,617 archaeological sites, including ancient temples, bridges, irrigation systems, pagodas, caves and other sacred locations in the capital and 22 provinces for preservation and conservation.
