via Khmer Times, 02 June 2020: A statue of an Angkor-era cow was discovered in Preah Vihear province.
Preah Vihear Provincial Governor, Prak Sovann handed over a statue of Preah Ko to the Provincial Department of Culture and Fine Arts for preservation, yesterday.
The statue was found along the geographical area of Choam Ksan district and was reported stolen by unidentified people.
The statue was recovered after an immediate search and recovery operation conducted by the joint forces of Choam Ksan district police authorities, led by Colonel Ohn Seng under the directives of provincial police chief, General Suos Sokdara and with the cooperation of villagers.
