via The Star, 09 July 2020: The National Museum of Malaysia eases its entry restrictions amid the Covid-19 pandemic in the light of improving conditions.
Visitors of all ages and conditional group visits will now be allowed at Muzium Negara in Kuala Lumpur under its updated pandemic SOP guidelines.
When Muzium Negara reopened on June 16 (after being shuttered since March 18), only visitors between the ages of 13 and 60 were allowed and group visits were strictly prohibited.
“On July 1, the National Security Council updated their SOP for visitation to cultural premises. Following that, the Department Of Museums Malaysia (DMM) decided to lift the age restriction.
“This is great news because we are getting more and more visitors now. The only thing we ask is for parents to keep an eye on their children so that the SOPs are adhered to, ” says Roslelawati Abdullah, DMM’s corporate communication director.
