Around this time every year I open the annual appeal to help support this site. I started Southeast Asian Archaeology 14 years ago as a news archive for the archaeology of Southeast Asia. As of September, I have indexed over 5,000 news stories; the website reaches an average of 5,000 readers every month, 7,600 followers on Instagram, 2,000 followers on Twitter and 8,400 followers on Facebook.
My aim is to continue making this website a valuable resource for researchers, enthusiast, and the general public by also posting job listings and academic opportunities, recently-published research papers and promoting announcements of other colleagues who work in the region.
As this website has grown, so have the costs of maintaining it. This website is paid for by my own financial resources, and the costs are offset by some advertising and affiliate links, and through this annual coffee appeal. If you find this website useful, please consider buying me a coffee – it is the best and most direct way of supporting the site.
I would like to take this opportunity to especially thank my supporters from this and previous years: Gary Bingham, Alison Carter, Angela Chiu, Nick Coffill, Louise Cort, Aedeen Cremin, Jim Dodge, Sharon Dowley, Beverley Frankel, Arnoud Haag, Terry Lustig, David Rogers, Veronica Walker, Patricia and Mathew Welch, and many others who have opted to remain anonymous.
