via ABC News, 10 December 2020: Not specific to Southeast Asia, but the San Francisco Asian Art Museum has put up some of its collections online in the face of closures due to Covid-19. I’ve added the link to the Resources page, where there are a number of other online museum collections listed as well.
The Asian Art Museum was one of the few museums able to reopen, only to close when San Francisco went to a more restrictive tier. Still, the museum wants to make sure it stays connected to the public during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
There is no place in the Bay Area where you can see Asian history and culture on the scale of that on display at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco’s Civic center.
The museum boasts some of the finest – and oldest – pieces of art in the world. 18,000 artworks spanning 6,000 years and every region of Asia.
