via Borneo Post, 17 December 2020: Historical artefacts found in Kuching’s Central Police Station while digging a drain.
Several artifacts, including a glass pill bottle believed to have been made in London in the 1880s, have been found during excavation works for a sewerage project in the compound of the Central Police Station here today.
State Museum Department deputy director Dayang Morzanah Awang Haddy said they had received a report on the findings from the Public Works Department (JKR).
In view of this, she said a site study work is being carried out by the department’s Archaeological Unit.
