One of the most comprehensive projects on the relations between the Southeast Asia and the Middle Eastern Region in the past, especially with the Ottoman Empire is no doubt the project “Islam, Trade, and Politics across the Indian Ocean”, which was fully funded by the British Academy and initiated in 2009.
In this webinar, in collaboration with the Centre for Anatolian and East Mediterranean Studies at the University of St. Andrews, we are hosting the co-directors of the project, Prof. Dr. A.C.S. Peacock and Dr. Annabel Teh Gallop, and the project researcher Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Kadı to talk about their experiences in the project and the project results.
