The Department of Anthropology (Archaeology) is seeking an outstanding candidate for Research Assistant Professorship specialized in Archaeology with geographical focus on Asia.
Ideal candidate should have:
(i) PhD degree in Archaeology;
(ii) strong commitment to excellence in research; and
(iii) a good track record of publishing.Successful candidate will be expected to (a) conduct top-tier independent and joint research; (b) apply for RGC GRF grants and similar external competitive grants once a year; (c) teach one undergraduate/postgraduate course once a year throughout the 3-year contract, and (d) participate in Departmental life.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Appointment will be made on contract basis for three years commencing August 2021. The start date will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
