via Khmer Times, 29 July 2021: Cambodia recently sealed its borders with Thailand due to a growing outbreak of Covid-19, the closure of the Angkor Park is probably linked to that.
APSARA Authority and Angkor Institution have released a document confirming the closure of the Angkor Archaeological park for 2 weeks from July 30, 2021 until the 12th August 2021.

Please be informed that in accordance with the Royal Government Resolution No. 82 dated 28 July 2021 on the closure of Koh Kong, Pursat, Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear and Siem Reap provinces to prevent the spread of to the Community of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, APSARA Authority and Angkor Institutions will close access to temples and suspend ticket sales at Angkor Resort from July 30, 2021 until the 12th August 2021.’
