The Government of Sleman, Yogyakarta, will soon conduct a trial opening of the Ratu Boko Temple tourist destination after the cultural historical tourism site in Prambanan District secured the central government’s permission for it.
Head of Sleman District Kustini Sri Purnomo remarked that the trial opening of Ratu Boko Temple was in accordance with the direct order of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
“The decision was conveyed at the coordination meeting for the evaluation of the Java-Bali PPKM that was held yesterday. Ratu Boko Temple was included in the 20 tourist attractions being tested for opening in level-3 cities in Java-Bali,” Purnomo stated.

Ratu Boko is far more than a temple. I am not an archeologist but I have not seen another fortified palace/temple complex in Java like Ratu Boko. Hope to see more about it in future posts.
