via the National Museum of the Philippines, 24 Sep 2021: There’s a new exhibition at the Philippine National Museum of Anthropology featuring shipwrecks. Here’s a virtual tour video.
This exhibition showcases the material evidence recovered from shipwreck sites found in the Philippines dated from the 13th, 15th, and 16th centuries CE. It highlights seven shipwrecks: the Breaker Reef, Pawikan Shoal, Pandanan, Lena Shoal, Santa Cruz, San Isidro, and Kanduli Shoal. These underwater cultural resources represents the different aspects of maritime trade in the Philippines for 300 years.
It is really impressive.
