via Khmer Times, 28 October 2021: The Angkor Database is an online resource holding a collection of digital and print books about Angkor – I have it listed on my archaeology of Cambodia page.
Siem Reap’s innovative Angkor Database is about to expand, adding photo collections to its offerings, extending the range of books and publications in its library and becoming a publishing entity in its own right.
“We’re planning to add photo collections developed by researchers who entrust us with their material,” Angkor Database founder Bernard Cohen says.
“We host three important photo collections, the latest being the worldwide research on Khmer art through museum collections launched by Andy Brouwer, documenting the origin and recent history of Khmer artefacts, a task especially relevant at a time of international interest in art restitution and the ethical responsibility of museums.”
