via Khmer Times, 21 April 2022: Ground-penetrating Radar survey of Koh Ker.
Conservation work continues in Koh Ker Temple, with the National Authority of Preah Vihear collaborating with the University of British Columbia to launch an archaeological research project using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
The collaborative effort commenced on April 20 and the project was headed by Dr Sarah Klassen.
The research will be conducted through the use of GPR. The special feature of this scanner is the use of radio waves to scan underground to identify various structures buried in the ground without having to dig out.
