via ABC Radio, 24 May 2022: An episode featuring Dr Kira westaway from Australia, who has worked in Southeast Asia, most recently on her work with the possible Denisovan girl in Laos.
Dr Kira Westaway is a geochronologist, which means she dates what she finds at archaeological sites, mostly in caves, to put a timeline on human migration.
She’s been a part of the teams that found the remains of significant ancient humans, including the Hobbit and more recently, a young Denisovan girl.
For Kira, it’s all about timing, truth and teeth.
And now, she’s on the hunt for the real King Kong, a three metre tall ape that wandered the land we now know as China, for millions of years.
