via Khmer Times, 02 June 2022: If you’re in Siem Reap this month, you can catch the exhibition of historical Cambodian photography at the FCC Angkor. The exhibition opens in 14 June and is based on the book of the same name. You can get a copy of the book through my Amazon affiliate link here.
An exhibition representing 170 years of photography in Cambodia, from the late 1800s onwards, will launch at FCC Angkor on June 14 and run for three months.
The photos in the exhibition are a small sample of the 500-plus pictorial treasures presented in a new book, ‘Photography in Cambodia – 1866 to the Present,’ by Siem Reap historian and theatre owner Nick Coffill, the son of an Australian outback photo-journalist.
The book, about to be released by Singapore publisher Tuttle, was printed in Malaysia and was originally meant to be published in April. But the slowdown in shipping disrupted schedules, with the hope now that arrival is imminent.
