via Nhan Dan, 10 June 2022: Hanoi announces the expenditure of around US$56,000 for the restoration and upkeep of its tangible heritage (‘relics’).
From the beginning of the year until now, the whole city has invested in 111 relics renovations, embellishment and anti-degradation from the budget in addition to socialisation activities, with a total budget of 1.3 billion VND.
The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has just announced the city’s renovation of relics for 2022.
Hanoi currently has nearly 6,000 relics of all kinds, of which, hundreds of relics are degraded. The investment, renovation and anti-degradation must be carried out regularly and continuously.
After a period of stagnation due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the cultural sector and localities are “accelerating” the implementation of renovation activities.
