via Khmer Times, 14 June 2022: An update on ongoing restoration to one of the Ta Prohm gates by the Apsara Authority and the Archaeological Survey of India.
The project to repair the east gate of Ta Phrom Temple has achieved about 20 percent completed, with work continuing despite the rain season.
The project was launched on January 2022 and is a cooperation between APSARA Authority with the Indian Archaeological Team.
Chan Lay, Project Manager of the East Gate of Ta Prohm, said on June 13 that the east gate of Ta Prohm was in a state of disrepair. The APSARA Authority and the Indian Archaeological Team, after receiving recommendations from the ICC-Angkor experts, began the second phase of the Ta Prohm restoration project.
