via Khmer Times, 22 June 2022: 20 trainees will undergo a two-and-a-year course on stone conservation.
A training course on stone conservation, organised by the APSARA National Authority in collaboration with the Stone Conservation Team and GIZ, began on June 20.
Kim Sothin, Deputy Director General of the APSARA National Authority, presided over the opening ceremony of the training course held at the Angkor Conference Hall in Siem Reap province.
According to the authority’s news release, 20 trainees, selected from an interview on June 10, attended the course which lasts for two and a half years. They will be provided with specific skills in stone conservation to develop their capacity for the conservation and restoration of temples in the Angkor World Heritage Site.
