A man in Oddar Meanchey province dug up five ancient bronze statues while he was digging a hole for a toilet, but the artefacts were handed over to the Provincial Heritage Police for safekeeping after neighbours alerted authorities about the man’s discovery.
Sa Boeun Ran, 42, a resident in Kork Vat village, Chong Kal commune in Chong Kal district was constructing a bathroom on August 7 with his son, and while digging the hole for a toilet came across the statues.
