via Focus Taiwan, 22 August 2022: Taiwan’s National Palace Museum hosts a special exhibition on ancient Vietnam in its southern branch.
A special exhibition dedicated to Vietnam’s ancient history and its cultures and crafts prior to the 19th century is being held at the National Palace Museum’s (NPM) southern branch in Chiayi County.
The show, titled Encountering Vietnam in the National Palace Museum Collection, opened on Saturday and will run through Nov. 20. It features 126 artifacts divided into three sections: Vietnam’s historical figures, ceramics, and diplomatic history.
The museum in southern Taiwan has invited visitors “to renew their knowledge of the abundant heritage left by ‘Vietnam’ before the 19th century in the fields of ethnic culture, ceramic arts, and political diplomacy,” it said in a statement.
