Cambodia’s world-famous Angkor Archaeological Park attracted 0.14 million foreign tourists in the nine months (January-September) of 2022, an increase of 2,075 percent over the same period of the last year, according to the state-owned Angkor Enterprise report.
According to the report, Angkor Archaeological Park and Koh Ker temples earned $5.36 million in revenue from ticket sales during the period, which was 2,012 percent rise, year-on-year.
Ly Se, Director General of Angkor Enterprise, told Khmer Times, the Siem Reap-Angkor World Heritage Site had witnessed significant growth in the number of visitors as the government reopened the country following the vaccination of all Cambodians.
