via Khmer Times, 13 October 2022: The face is being kept at a safe place and will be restored when the weather is better.
The Apsara Authority plans to reattach the face of an Apsara carving on the wall of Ta Prohm temple when the weather is favourable.
Neth Simon, Technical Officer of the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the Apsara Authority, said that the face has a long crack and was loosened by the roots of a tree which had entangled it.
She added that the fallen face is being kept in a safe place until the right time to restore it.
