via Vietnam Plus, 18 November 2022: A special exhibition at the Vietnam Museum of History in Hanoi traces the use of the building to its roots as part of the EFEO.
A special exhibition titled “From the French School of Extreme Orient to the Vietnam National Museum of History” opened at the museum on November 18.
It features documents and images of a 90-year-old building which was the first Louis Finot Museum of the French School of Extreme Orient in 1932 and then used as a part of the Vietnam National Museum of History.
The exhibition is divided into three parts: history and the establishment of the building, important periods to transfer the building into the Vietnam National Museum of History and the Vietnam National Museum of History – a new stage.
