The iconic “krama” scarf may soon achieve immortal status.
The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts announced that it is submitting the krama for listing on the iconic UNESCO roster of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on March 31.
Director General of the Department of Cultural Technique, Siyon Sophearith, said yesterday that the GCT will hold a meeting with villagers, krama weavers, krama users, researchers and other stakeholders in Banteay Meanchey in preparation.
