Experts from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the APSARA National Authority are repairing the sandstone window pillars at the southwest corner of the second gallery of Angkor Wat temple, which was severely damaged to avoid danger.
Soy Sophearith, an archaeologist and conservation agent at Angkor Wat, said that due to the age of the building and its exposure to the sun, moisture, rain, water seepage, and moss, windows and other structures at the second gallery of Angkor Wat temple was badly damaged.
