The Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, in partnership with School of Foreign Languages and Center for Studies of Eastern Literatures of Peking University, are pleased to annouce and invite you to participate in the international symposium, titled “Art and Culture in ASIA.”

Date: 5-6 August 2023
Venue: Auditorium of Silpakorn University, Wang Tha Phra Campus

There are 4 themes, lectured by Thai and overseas scholars.
The first theme is “Art and Culture in Asia before the 14th Century A.D.”, consisting of 4 topics:

1) New Light on the Early History of Si Thep: from Prof. Subhadradis Diskul’s Perspective to Recent Excavation
2) Si Mahosot: The Center of Frontier Town between Dvaravati and Ancient Khmer States
3) “Śrī Laṅkāśokeśvara” Gold Coin: An Epigraphical Study
4) Inscriptions on Doorjambs in the Temples belonging to the Reign of King Jayavarman VII
