via Global New Light of Myanmar, 17 July 2023: Myanmar and Indian experts are jointly restoring golden sketches in the Ananda temple’s tunnel, while preserving other ancient buildings in Bagan, with 50% of the work completed as of June.
The Ananda Temple, located in Bagan’s ancient cultural area, is being restored in collaboration with Indian experts. Those Indian experts are also maintaining ancient building No 1600 Nathlaungkyaung, ancient building No 235 Thagyapone temple, and ancient building No 225 Myataung brick monastery without losing original works.
