via Khmer Times, 18 September 2023: Cambodian and Chinese cultural ministers met at the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee to discuss strengthening their traditional friendship and collaboration on heritage conservation projects, including a joint working group for effective labor relations.
Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia Mrs Phoeurng Sackona held talks with Li Qun, Vice Minister for Culture and Tourism of China, on the side-lines of the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Minister recalled the traditional friendship between the two countries that dates back to the Angkorian era and was promoted through His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, later by former Prime Minister Hun Sen, and continued by Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
