Part-time job opportunity at SOAS on the Arts of Southeast Asia module. Closing date is 8 December 2023.
The SOAS-Alphawood Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art at SOAS is a unique academic programme, located in the College of Humanities. It is centred on object-based learning, offering survey courses of the art history and archaeology of various regions and religions of Asia. The Postgraduate Diploma has a strong vocational focus, providing an intersection between academia, the museum world, and the art trade. Our courses enable students to develop practical skills directly applicable to careers in the museum sector and art market. They also provide a rigorous and expansive foundation for further postgraduate study. Our distinctive pedagogical approach and international reputation is supported by a formal Memorandum of Association with the British Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. Through exceptional pedagogical, practical and pastoral support provided by the Director, Manager, Administrator and module convenors, the SOAS-Alphawood Postgraduate Diploma offers a proven pathway into UK higher education for mature and international students who would otherwise struggle with the demands of a postgraduate degree at SOAS.
The SOAS-Alphawood Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art is generously supported by the transformative generosity of the Alphawood Foundation.
