Changes in the surrounding area, especially due to the construction of a hydropower dam in the early 1990s, have obscured its historical context. Utilizing ethnohistorical and geoarchaeological approaches, the study aims to understand the temple’s spiritual significance as perceived by generations of local inhabitants, some dating back to the 19th century.
