via Khmer Times, 04 February 2024: The Apsara National Authority, in partnership with the German Apsara Conservation Project, is restoring the deteriorated southern brick tower of Preah Ko Temple. The project addresses the complex challenges of stabilizing the temple’s structure and preserving its over 1,139-year-old heritage.
Apsara National Authority’s technicians in collaboration with the German Apsara Conservation Project (G.A.C.P) of Germany are restoring and reinforcing the damaged southern brick tower of Preah Ko Temple.
According to Apsara Authority stated that the restoration was challenging due to the complex structure of the temple, the stone of the temple and some of the sculptures were decayed and lost.
