via Khmer Times, 06 March 2024: Workers from the APSARA National Authority, with years of expertise in stone carving and temple restoration, have joined the restoration project of the Phnom Bakheng Temple in partnership with the World Monument Fund. Their involvement not only leverages their specialized skills but also marks a significant contribution to preserving Cambodia’s cultural heritage.
Many professional workers assigned by the APSARA National Authority to help restore the Phnom Bakheng Temple in collaboration with the World Monument Fund have expressed their happiness in the new workplace.
So Nou, a 54-year-old worker, who has been specializing in stone carving for more than ten years at the APSARA National Authority, said he was happy to work at the restoration site of the Phnom Bakheng Temple. He had to go up and down the hill differently from the work he used to do. He said that the working team welcomed him warmly at the restoration site. The work also matched his skills, so it was not difficult at all.
