via Khmer Times, 28 April 2024: The APSARA National Authority, in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (KCHF), has made significant progress in restoring Chorm Temple, employing Anastylosis techniques. Korean architect EO JINKYU leads the project, focusing on reinforcing the temple’s foundation and replacing damaged stones with new laterite.
The restoration team of APSARA National Authority has cooperated with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (KCHF) to repair and strengthen the temple’s foundation using the Anastylosis technique.
Korean architect EO JINKYU, who is carrying out the restoration project of the Chorm Temple, said that this is the stage where the temple’s foundation needs to be strengthened first. Then the interior of the foundation can be prepared.
