Surakarta’s Radya Pustaka Museum requires Rp 300 million to cover operational costs in 2010. Hence, they have submitted a proposal to the Surakarta Culture and Tourism Office for this to be included in the Surakarta 2010 Regional Budget. “The number of visits to this museum is not as high as other tourist destinations,†Winarso Kalinggo, Radya Pustaka Museum’s Committee chief, told Tempo during the museum’s 119th anniversary celebration.
