I’ve just been alerted to the project page of the Myanmar-Singapore Archaeology Training Project (MSATP) which is run by Prof. Goh Geok Yian and Prof. John N. Miksic from Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore Respectively. The site is in English and Burmese. This will be added to the Resource page.
The Myanmar-Singapore Archaeology Training-Research Project (MSATP) is a research and training project with the objective of gathering data on life in the ancient royal palace of Bagan. In this project, we have introduced new analytical techniques relevant to the archaeology and early history of Myanmar to Myanmarese scholars and students. This project was conducted in collaboration with the Directorates of Historical Research and Archaeology of the Ministry of Culture of the Union of Myanmar, and the Department of Archaeology, University of Yangon.
