via Khmer Times, 26 May 2020: Following news from Cambodia’s Minister of Culture to reopen museums, the APSARA Authority has announced opening its museums next month.
The three museums under the management of the APSARA National Authority will reopen their doors for the national and international visitors from June onward, after being closed for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The museums’ reopening was made known by the APSARA National Authority in a recent announcement, following an official letter from Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bunheng to Minister of Culture and Fine Arts . Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona on May 20, authorising the opening of all museums.
At the same time, the APSARA National Authority announced to continue applying the preventive measures, including temperature scanning, alcohol- or gel-based hand sanitizers, and asked the visitors as well as the museums’ staff to wear facemasks and keep physical distancing in order to contribute to prevent the second wave of COVID-19 infections.
