In the North American tradition, archaeology is one of the four sub-fields of anthropology (the others being physical anthropology, cultural anthropology, linguistics), while elsewhere, archaeology is a seperate field. For the purposes of this website, anthropology refers to the non-archaeological aspects of anthropology in Southeast Asia, including intangible cultural heritage, indigenous peoples and linguistics.
