Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts voice support for establishment of historical area on Nokor Phnom

via Khmer Times, 21 April 2022: Nokor Phnom in Prey Veng is thought to be connected to the ancient capital of Funan.

The Ministries of Environment and of Culture and Fine Arts are backing the possibility of establishing a historical area in Nokor Phnom.

Say Sam Al, Minister of Environment, chaired an inter-ministerial meeting on the study and identification of natural heritage sites, culture and history on April 20. The meeting focused on Nokor Phnom, located in Cheung Phnom Commune and Chheu Kach Commune, Ba Phnom District, Prey Veng.
