via Khmer Times, 30 June 2022: The restoration of the tower in the Bakong temple is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
APSARA National Authority’s restoration team has been restoring the seventh dilapidated brick tower on the north side of Bakong Temple in Siem Reap province, and the work is now more than 90 percent complete.
The update was shared by the APSARA National Authority in a news release issued yesterday.
Some of the remaining work include repairing and strengthening the structure of the upper wall, and sealing the cracks in the wall to prevent water seepage, it added.
