via Khmer Times, 28 September 2022: Typhoon Nuro has added an extra pressure in this year’s rainy season; last week the Apsara Authority took additional measures to prevent flooding. Some tree fall has also been reported, but so far no damage to the temples.
The Department of Water Management, Forests and Infrastructure of the APSARA Authority has been working to release water through sluices and temple areas to prevent Angkor from flooding.
The effects of Typhoon Nuro from the Philippines have been causing low pressure and continuous rain in Cambodia since mid-September.
This caused several rains and flooded some districts in Siem Reap.
