via Bangkok Post, 29 November 2022: Phu Phra Bat in Udon Thani was a site that I studied as part of my doctoral research, an ancient landscape with rock art and later material from Dvaravati, Khmer and Lan Xang cultures. It had previously been nominated for World Heritage before.
Thailand’s World Heritage Convention Committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon, is gathering details for an application for Udon Thani’s Phu Phra Bat Historical Park for consideration as a Unesco World Heritage site.
