via Khmer Times, 14 March 2023: Restored dvarapala sculpture from Tonle Snguot Temple is now on display. I believe it is the same statue that was discovered during a Singaporean field school here.
An 1.82-metre-high, 0.78-metre-wide, and 0.5-metre-thick sandstone door guardian statue from Tonle Snguot Temple has been repaired and is on display in the Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum.
According to an Apsara National Authority statement yesterday, the door guardian statue was broken in different pieces, such as the head, body, arms, legs, and ear.
The face was also eroded, almost losing the shape of the lips, nose, and eyes, the Apsara statement quoted the head of the exhibition team and the guide at the Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum, Kun Phally, as saying.
