via Khmer Times, 12 May 2023: The National Museum of Cambodia has announced that prior permission is now mandatory for filming people with traditional costumes with the museum in the background, and costume renters will also have to apply for permission from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts to avoid public criticism and complaints against the National Museum officials.
The National Museum administration has made prior permission mandatory for filming people with traditional costumes with the museum in the background.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the National Museum said that costume renters will also have to apply for permission from the Ministry of Culture and Fine arts before they shoot photos at the museum compound.
It added that the restriction is to avoid public criticism as well as complaints against the National Museum officials for allowing inappropriate wearing of the traditional costumes.
