via Manila Times, 12 October 2023: Far Eastern University (FEU) in Manila is home to six National Treasures of the Philippines. These treasures include a variety of historical and cultural artifacts that showcase the rich heritage of the country. The university serves as a sanctuary for these invaluable items, emphasizing its role beyond academia.
The Far Eastern University cemented its legacy as the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) declared six of its buildings National Cultural Treasures.
Through Museum Declaration-1-2018, the Nicanor Reyes Sr. Hall; Administration Building; Admissions Building, formerly the Engineering Building or the East Asia Building; Architecture and Fine Arts Building, formerly the Law Building; Science Building; and the FEU Chapel make the university an art gem.
A marker from the National Museum of the Philippines was unveiled at the Administration Building by FEU President Juan Miguel Montinola, FEU Chairman Emeritus Lourdes Reyes Montinola, National Museum Deputy Director-General for Museums Jorell Legaspi and National Museum Chief Administrative Officer of the Research, Collection and Conservation Management Division Anne Rosette Crelencia to celebrate the recognition.
