via Vietnam Plus, 13, Dec 2023: The Ngo Mon (Moon Gate) in Hue’s imperial city was illuminated by a stunning light display, a collaboration between French and Vietnamese artists, on December 12. This 50-minute show, titled “Hue by light – The live show,” celebrated the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations, showcasing a fusion of Vietnamese traditional lacquer art and French Art Nouveau. The event highlighted the enduring cultural cooperation between Hue and France, contributing to the Hue winter festival 2023 and emphasizing Hue’s significance as a UNESCO heritage site.
People in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue were treated to a feast of light spectacle staged by French and Vietnamese artists at Ngo Mon (Moon Gate) in the imperial city of Hue on December 12.
The performance named “Hue by light – The live show” was organised by the French Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with the Institute of France in Vietnam and the provincial People’s Committee.
Utilising the cutting-edge 3D mapping lighting technology with a light intensity of 300,000 lumens to cast mesmerising 3D visual effects on Ngo Mon, the 50-minute show spotlighted landscapes in four seasons, in the accompaniment by music by Vietnamese and French artists.
