via The Manila Times, 06 March 2024: The National Historical Commission of the Philippines, in collaboration with the City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga, is initiating its inaugural local government unit (LGU) training on history and heritage in Central Luzon. This three-day workshop aims to enhance the capabilities of LGU workers in historical research, commemoration events, conservation, and documentation efforts.
In partnership with the City Government of San Fernando and as part of its commitment to help and capacitate its local partners in conducting history and heritage work, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will hold its first local government unit (LGU) training on History and Heritage for 2024 in Region 3 (Central Luzon) at the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
This training activity will equip LGU workers with essential skills and knowledge to conduct basic historical research, commemorations, conservation and documentation.
