It’s almost been a month since the last Wednesday Rojak, and that’s because I’ve been traveling quite heavily for the last three weeks because of the term break and some family matters. On the flip side, it also means that I’ve amassed a few stories for this week’s very belated edition of rojak! Beside visiting Borobudur and Angkor, we also have a closer look at some of the sites in the Philippines.
-
- Ted posts closeups of the bas-reliefs at Borobudur and Prambanan
- Kirk K. shows us some of the lesser known sites in Angkor, including Banteay Kdei, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Preah Khan
- j-travel visits the Museum of History and Ethnography in Malacca and sees some colonial-era sewer systems and Thai Sukhothai and Sawankhalok ceramics
- Arnold Carl of the Cebu Heritage website features some of the archaeological finds from this Philippine province, including this gold burial mask
- Charity revisits a childhood longing to become an archaeologist to visit the Angono Petroglyphs
in the Philippines.
